Public Works Dept. takes care of the streets, signs, traffic signals, catch basin tops. They pick up small piles of brush, bagged leaves, grass clippings as well as cutting grass at all baseball fields, playgrounds and skate park. They are responsible for collecting the trash from city owned trash cans.  They are also responsible for street cleaning, snow plowing and snow removal as well as other duties.

SUMMER REMINDER: Please do not put yard waste on the street or sidewalk. Yard waste pick-up will be Mondays as time permits. Call 286-5761and leave a message with address, if the yard waste is in the front or in the alley and is it loose or bagged.  The yard waste pick up is a courtesy the city offers to its residents.  Residents of the City of Sunbury can take their brush to the mulch pile.  The mulch pile located behind Beiter’s is open on Saturday mornings from 7:30 am to 12 noon.
