Grant Opportunity

The City of Sunbury is looking to apply for a façade grant funding for Market Street commercial buildings. The improvement of the storefront may not exceed $5,000 for the grant funding portion and requires a dollar-for-dollar match of funding received by the property owner (Example: $5,000 grant funds and $5,000 property owner funds for a $10,000 project). This is a reimbursement program. The applicant would need to front the entire cost of the project and would submit an invoice for reimbursement up to $5,000 from grant funding. The primary focus of the program is to be used for street-facing, exterior building improvements such as façade painting, design assistance, etc. Façade funding may not be used on out-buildings located on property, any interior work, landscaping and general site improvements to sidewalks or paved areas.
