Job Opening: Administrative Assistant/Code Enforcement Clerk

he qualified candidate will assist in administering all programs, activities, and responsibilities of the City Administration Office which include but not limited to:

  • Greet and aid the public in a friendly, business-like manner.

  • Perform general secretarial and office duties as required.

  • Maintain general office files, typing material from copy, record incoming and outgoing correspondence.

  • Answer and return phone calls and keep appointment records.

  • Open, sort, and distribute mail for all City Departments.

  • Covers City Administration’s office for lunch periods and for absences of City Clerk during illness, vacations, etc.

  • In absence of City Clerk, attends City Council meetings, prepares agendas, and records and transcribes minutes.

  • Attend meetings, seminars and training as required.

  • Assist with community events planning, preparation, and execution.

  • Maintain an excellent personal attendance record.

  • Maintain records management system in accordance with the PA Municipal Records Manual.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive records and proceedings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
