Snow/Ice Removal from Sidewalks

According to city ordinance, snow/ice removal from sidewalks is required to be done within 24 hours after the snowfall stops. When snow accumulation is 12 inches or more, a path is required within 24 hours and the rest of the snow/ice removed within 48 hours.

Because of the extraordinary snowfall amount, the City has not been enforcing the ordinance giving property owners extra time. However, warnings were issued on Monday (4 days after the snowfall stopped). Tickets are going to be issued tomorrow at properties where snow/ice has not been removed. Tickets are $25.
